because if is special needs child, can approach Allied Educators inside the school to counsel him, manage him. They are trained to handle them, esp. during sudden outbreak of violence.

The boy who use his Kung Fu kick was violent. I think the teacher shld take some action. I heard he is a problem child in this class. Now some parents only focus on academic not conduct. Very sad!

            hi Essential,

is your son same class as this Kung fu boy ? did the Form teacher, Allied educator(s), Disciplinary master or any Counsellor help this poor boy, or spoken to his parents about his behavior so far?

Hi, i shifted to nr henry park primary school to ease caregiver issue for my boy when he goes primary one next year. With that citizen gets priority to p1 registration, any advise on chances to get in Henry park primary school? I thot to register my husband old boys school keming at Bukit batok but the school advise to consider cos school bus transport may be too long for him. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Are u a citizen or PR? If u stay within 1km of HPPS and u are a citizen registering under 2C, I think u may still need to ballot. If u are a PR, i think u can forget it. What u can do is to register at Keming under phase 2A first, then gauge the turnout at HPPS during 2C. U can withdraw from Keming if u think ur chance at HPPS is good and u want to try your luck to ballot there.

                      Hi,

I’m an SC. My gg will be enrolling in P1 next yr. Our mother tongue is Tamil. I was wondering if I should try for Nanyang Pri even though it does not cater to Tamil as a 2nd language. What are my chances of getting in, not taking into account the balloting requirements? Even if she takes Chinese as a 2nd language, will the school cater for her to take Tamil as a 2nd or 3rd language?

Any experience from parents in the same dilemma?

                      Thanks.

How far is your home from NYPS? How far are you from RGPS?

RGPS offers Tamil for mother tongue, and if you are within 1km of
both RGPS and NYPS, you most likely have a better chance of entering RGPS
                        than NYPS.
