kiasuconform Parent?! :!: :faint: Looks like we are going to need a certification board to verify if parents are kiasu enough to join KiasuParents.com

I think I am conforming myself to be one kiasu parent or else I will not post my question.
Chief Kiasu, are you one of the parents who has kids at SAPS? Would you share your own experience as SAPS parents? Kindly reply to my queries. I am kiasu enough by asking this, -

I have seen a quite a few Eurasians in the school this year, so your DD should be fine.Hi, we're lucky enough that my youngest daughter has been accepted in SAPS for P1 in 2010. Is there any other \"angmohs\" or Eurasian kids in the primary school? I do not want her to feel alienated or feeling different among the SAPS schoolers next year. She has been going to international school for the last three years. We think it's time for her to expose more in the Singaporeans community.
Your feed back would be appreciated to ease my \"worries\". -

Thanks for your reply, Mowmow.
Does the school has catechist class or do I have to register her to the nearby Catholic Church? I am raised as a Catholic and I would like my daughter to participate the Holy Communion. How old does she need to be registered to a catechism class? Does anyone out there has the list of CCAs providers by the SAPS? One parent in this forum mentioned that the Speech and Drama provided by the Julia Gabriel. How about the rest of CCAs? Does anyone know who is the school bus provider? With all these questions, I am really a kiasu conform parent.

Don't worry kiasuconform, I was just pulling your leg. A drunk man never admits he is drunk. So if you say you are kiasu, chances are, you are probably not.
Sorry... I've no child in SAPS. But don't worry, SAPS is definitely a good school by most standards. You have made a good choice. -

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, SAPS has catechism class once a week, and it starts from P1. For the CCAs, you can check out their website : http://www.anthionian.edu.sg. For P1s, only certain CCAs will be open to them. Speech & Drama provided by Julia Gabriel is not a CCA, but it is incorporated into their English curriculum for a term of 10 weeks. After that, each class gets to perform on stage. For school bus, no worries, you will get the details on Orientation Day, and you can book their service on the same day by completing a form. They will then call you a week before school starts to inform you of pickup time and location.
Hope this helps! -
Thank you Mowmow for your reply, I appreciate that.
To the Chief Kiasu,
nice to have a little sense of humour in this site sometime. Cheers. -
Hello,
I’m new to this particular thread.
My son’s been accepted to St Anthony for P1 in 2010 too. As for school bus, the office was helpful enough to provide me a number to the bus company and I managed to get an idea of how long the journey is despite the bus not making a stop at my place this year.
I hear that PE sessions are 3 times a week… that would make my son very happy. Not sure if that’s the norms for primary school these days…
