Just cast my vote with my family. Sigh, the polling agents were more interested in chit-chatting than directing us. Two ladies stood right behind me chatting about random stuff. I was a little uncomfortable with that.


They’re on duty and will be paid $250 and given a day off in lieu. The very least they can do is give clearer directions about where to go, especially for the elderly.

I believe most of them this year are teachers. My DF and a few of my teacher friends are on duty today.

Those two were voters too, right? Maybe they were just as nervous and what's more, they can't be discussing openly or cajoling each other to make a cross on which Tan to vote.
Didn't know teachers have to 'help' out in such occasions.

They should ask NS men to be polling agents ... I think NS men will be more than happy to earn $250. Many of my teacher friends r not happy with the arrangement coz they cannot siam n have to seek alternative arrangement for their family commitment. Fr wat I know many sch r very reluctant to give the day off to teachers who r on duty today
