Hi, can someone give me feedback on the ridgewood branch? I cannot find many comments on this centre. thank you.

i sent 2 kids to pat’s at serangoon. no regrets. warm environment. lots of open spaces, which i like. classrooms have an open-concept. windows are open to allow fresh air in. 3 play areas for kids to run around and expend their energy. definitely recommended.

Hi beagle,
Thanks for sharing.
Is your kids attending full day cc? They have this extended day programme(art, music, drama etc)? Any comment on the teachers and what about their curriculum, does it benefit your kids?
Their fees after deducted $300 is abt 1K excluding enrichments lesson which is $150 per mth. so, I'm thinking does it really worth to pay for this amount. -
Hi, I just registered my 2yo son in Pat's at Arena. Checked out about ten centers around jurong west/east area and this one is the only one has vacancies and looks not too bad. It is really expensive and the indoor play ground dose look kinda shabby and not very safe as mentioned earlier by another mom in this thread. I mentioned this to the principle but she tried to convince me that they never had severe accidents there and they are trying to improve it and they might get a new outdoor playground next year. Other than that, the environment looks not very tidy to me but with bunch of small kids around I don't expect more than that. Teachers are overall nice and they got this big music classroom which I liked very much. I was really desperate to put my son into childcare asap and as soon as I signed the paperwork I started to worry whether I made the right choice for him. I am here 2 am cos I am too worried to sleep. :stupid:
I would like to know more moms who have kids in this center and I would like to know any positive or negative feedback about this center too. Please feel free to PM me any time, will respond asap. -
Hi Beagle
Thanks for the reaffirmation as I recently just paid up the fees at the school. We are currently not residing in Singapore but due to be back in Singapore by the end of the year, so I was 'researching' remotely, and am so glad to see your comments! Thanks again.

Hi Busymom,Hi Dee
It seems that Pat's accepts children into the playgroup program only in the year that they turn 3. If your son is 2 next year, then it is true that you can only enrol him at Baby Haven at Halifax (not sure if any other branches offer that). That is the infant/toddler care section under Pat's. At Baby Haven, the older kids have proper lessons including phonics from Letterland, so it is not just infant care services that they offer. It would probably be better for him to be with children of his age, bearing in mind that student/teacher ratio is also better for that age group and children at that age are less developed in terms of gross motor skills. I would be concerned if my younger children gets knocked over by older and bigger children. Lastly, if you intend to stay throughout Pat's till K2, you will have to repeat K2 for another year when your son is 6yo while his friends would have moved on to P1.
Thanks for your note, and I've never thought of the point that you mentioned about my son having to stay back for another year of K2! That is really an important consideration. Thanks for that reminder!
Yes, I'm very concerned about him mingling with older kids, cos now even at home he gets knocks and bruises all the time just playing with my mum and maid. Cannot imagine him alone with the older ones. Halifax is alittle far for me, which is why I did not consider. Maybe I will do a visit to Halifax.
I saw the teachers conducting lessons at Pat's Meyer. Liked the enthusiasm of the Music Teacher, but the Art teacher (China) seems a little sleepy and non-involved to me. But I liked the outdoor and classrooms - clean and hygenic.
Cheers!
