Excuse Me Can I take these seats?

Chenonceau:
Yeah I suppose such parents have no 'worst case scenario\" in their mind and taking SG's safety for granted.ksi:
when nothing happened, mummy seemed the paranoid one but when something did happen, everything would be called \"too late\" in hindsight.
What the parents did send a shudder up my spine. I tend to be absent-minded if I have lotsa stuff to look after. I put my kids in a child leash and tied it to my wrist so that if I momentarily forgot, they would still be tied to me. My worst nightmare is to lose my toddler. -
puff:
I'll also do that if I'm alone with my 2 kids. :oops:When I going out with my kids alone I seriously dun know any other way then to leave my kids at the table ...asking jie jie to watch mei mei ( still in the stroller) plus I will tell jie jie to yell or shout for me when she in trouble.
I dun think I can manage holding a bowl of noodle n pushing the stroller n watching jiejie to make sure she dun bum into anyone holding hot food at the same time. -
Me three. But I only started recently when I know my kids are more worried about me disappearing. And I’ll nag the elder to make sure diddi is with him.

Just to share.
I was about to sit on a chair while I was at a shopping mall.Suddenly, one women, just walked to me and said , am older and tired, I am going to take your seat. Not even pls or whatsoever and take it as she is older, I have to give way.
If I see an older women or needy, I will surely give up the seat without second thoughts.Anyway, that day, I just gave up by seat to her and walked away cos it doesnt pay to DEBATE with her.

DH once asked "Is anyone sitting here?" The person answered: "I don’t see anyone on the chair." How rude!
I usually ask "Is this seat taken?" But the answers can be so ambiguous. They’ll say "No", but instead of No, the seat’s not taken, they mean: No, someone’s sitting here. -

Chief.. I share the sentiment.. so now my questions will be
Can we sit? with a smile
If people ask, we will just show the hand gesture for them to sit.. with a smile..

Just nod the head and say \"OK\" -
Real life incident.
- Local couple eating at a table.
- An (foreign-sounding) Indian family asked to sit on the unoccupied seats
- More members of the Indian family joined the table
- Finally the Indian family’s Dad persuaded (in a very insistent manner) local couple to move to another table so that his family can take over the last 2 seats at that table -

No I won't ask that...what if the guy answered \"Where would you like to take them to??\"
