Disappointed, thought TCL could get a chance. I think a lot of people could not

decide on who to vote but did not want TT in so they just spoilt their votes on purpose.
I know a friend who did that.

I think it is a waste to have too many invalid votes, I think it is about 37000 invalid votes. Imagine half the votes goes to the one you want to win.............ahh........

Yes, maybe they feel TCL and TT still quite PAP and then the other 2
candidates not so strong so they do not want to vote but forced to do so
hence, they spoil their votes.
In other countries, voting is not compulsory, it is only so in singapore.

Hey, I am frustrated as anybody about last evening, but one cannot ignore despite what is an apparent huge groundswell of negative sentiment against status quo, TT still managed to garner 35% of votes. There are a fair number (myself included, although I did not vote TT), that feel that the anti-estab position is too extreme, reactionary and uninformed.


Yeah, I’m pretty sour that TCB lost by 0.34%, but is it the fault of the PEC? How else would you expect them to choose candidates? What’s this angst about the inauguration dates? I mean, that it make one whit of difference if the new President got appointed on the first of September, first of October or first of November? What’s Ho Ching got to do with the PE?

Yeah, plenty of issues with the ruling party, but random tilting at windmills only scares off potential converts. The oppo are campaigning for the hearts and minds of people too, and a more restrained, reasoned approach can’t hurt.
