I wouldn’t know hw a block duct feels like next to normal breast tissue.

The whole breast is supposed to be quite lumpy isn’t it?

have to massage all the lumps till no lumps, then milk will flow smoothly, that was what I understood from the LCs

Every once in awhile, maybe about once or twice a year, I get plugged ducts. The causes are usually the same. Today is one of those days. And it's one of those plugs that are deep inside the breast and very hard to massage. I woke up with a very sore breast. DS2and DS3's sucking prowess combined couldn't undo it. Been diligently working on it. Took Denzen and panadol. Hoping it clears soon! The last time I had the exact same type of plug, it took about a week to clear. and that was after I went to get the KK LCs to do the massage coz I couldn't bear to inflict pain on myself with my own hands. They had to use a needle too! I hope I don't need to go for the KK LC massage. Very painful!

Happens to me once in a while too. So far for me, panadol, warm showers and dangle feeding have helped. Take care, hope it clears soon!

Duct plugged all the way to the nipple, then forming a blister at the tip. Yuck.

Thanks linden2000! What's dangle feeding? I have visions of your baby dangling from your boob.

Ya. When the LC took out her needle, I wanted to faint! :faint:

But it didn't hurt as much as the boob was hurting. Oh, and it didn't work.
