Ha ha, i was just jokin w dh that its going to b confusin on sat, do we address each other by name? I've only seen php once to buy books fr him n seen markfch's son bcos he is my son's bestfren. πŸ™‚ n i met his lovely dw last nite. So the rest r unknown Faces to me too πŸ™‚

My wife is built to run. She's the only person I know who can complete a full marathon w/o any training. That's why I'm hoping that ds will follow her trait rather than mine.

      [

I think her training is running after ur ds loh... haha...

Janet.. how abt packing snacks for your son, may be a little heavy, but they don carry their bags ard all the time... when my dh n ds went for the p1 overnight camp in school, they also brought, came in very useful for these 2 big fussy eaters.. πŸ˜‚[/quote]I clearly remembered my elder boy did not attend, so I am quite sure attendance is open to discussion.

My P4 boy went for the Jun camp. He is also a fussy eater, so I wrote in the form to serve him vegetarian meal, at least I can be sure no processed meat (hotdogs/ham). Ended up the pkt rice is non vegetarian. The adult opened up the pkt, removed the meat, then gave my boy the balance. Like that also can??? If we are a family of strict vegetarian, i surely will make a official complaint.

I just asked my elder boy why he did not attend the camp. He told me he signed up for a badminton competition that clashed with the camp dates, hence was exempted from the camp. I memory failing

            Hi Parents,

I'm just wondering why can't the P5 kids use disposable fork and spoon ? So much of these at home...given by food stalls. Eat and throw away. Still have to bring mug, bowl and plate.
As for quality of food, the kids will be so hungry after all the exercises that even the most niao ones will eat whatever is placed in front of them.

Then i am looking forward to it then...mine is extreme niao..v limited choice of food n yet big and tall size..I tink so long as got white rice he ok liao.. πŸ˜†

We hv stopped taking disposable cutlery from food stall if we tapao food home. Now I am looking for convenient containers for tapao food. Dun like those 3 layers tin containers.

                Anyone has recommendations?

I use tupperware or containers that can stack into each other. I worry abt spillage, so will not use tiffin πŸ™‚

My 'ah niao' said the food served before the recent NDP rehearsal was terrible. Neighbour's son had western last year. My son was disappointed with the food and hubby had to cook him noodles close to 10pm.
Thanks for the suggestion...I'll pack some biscuits for him.

Minimize plastic esp contact with hot boiling soup.

Same here, when i go buy brunch at hawker center, i usu bring tingkat along...but i try not to put the soup stuff cos tend to spill.
For porridge, i will sometimes bring those containers with warmer...so that when get home, porridge is still piping hot.

We attended last night Mid-Autumn Festival celebration in sch. Thought it was very well organised. I presume the older kids are all ex-PH pupils? So nice of them to come back to help out at the booths and organise fun games for everyone.

We were there too...but seems like everything needs money leh..$2 here, $3 there for the games...i believe we must hv paid at least $20-30 for ds and his cousin to play in some of the games.

OK for them to charge, but maybe make it a little cheaper...like $1?

Overall ds and his cousin enjoyed very much...just the :moneyflies: that this mummy feel the pain...somemore already paid for tickets....
