Does anyone know if they have a similar sale at Parkway branch?
Heard from news that there is having 30% discount.
I am always missed out from their emails!
Is there any further 10% discount if we have their preferred member card? -

How are the quality of the books - new?Back from the fair, and in 1 piece. There are A LOT of people there. The queue to pay is scary...very very scary. it snakes around the hall and more - I think it will take about 2-2.5 hours just to queue to pay. I'm just curious why pp will spend that time queueing for a couple of books (saw some pp with that little).
On the offerings, it's fantastic for non-fiction books. i saw a broad range of items. Fiction (adult) were neatly packed when I saw it. Children's section was, as usual, messy. There are some good finds. I saw Eric Carle, some ladybirds (4, 7, and dunno what else), some 'Monster Boy' (Shoo Rayner), a lot of Darren Shan.
Today's discount is 50% off. Not sure if the discount will get progressively more as the days pass. My conclusion is that there is not enough cashiers becos the pp looking at the books are not that many, but pp queueing to pay a LOT.

Most of the books are as good as new. Some still nicely wrapped. The Q is the most ‘horrible’. If u can’t afford to stay in the line at least 2-3 hrs, and total cost saving of books is not much then it’s not advisable to go. (wonder if borders will engage more staffs in cashiering during following days) I bought quite a lot of books, mainly children books which I think it’s worthy for the trip.

Anyone has tried to use a gift card for either expo sale or in parkway?

Don't know if there are many books left, I was thinking of going today. Going to get my sister to come along to help queue for each other.
Anyone knows if it is still worth going? -

I went on Saturday in the afternoon. Didnt see many children books left. The ones that were wrapped were mainly for infants. Queue was long but quite fast moving.Cheermama:

Seems like no dearth of discounts on children books…MPH now offering discounts also.
Enjoy 20% discount with a purchase of 1 – 2 children’s books, and 25% discount with a purchase of 3 books in a single receipt! Now on at all MPH stores till 11 September 2011. -
Borders sale at parkway. 50% off storewide. Many popular series are gone but I was still able to inflict damage. First time ever hubby didn’t stop me buy books, and first time I could find books with relative ease
