Not true lah.

There are players in reputable sec sch uniforms in the LAN centre at BTSC. But how good is their studies I dunno lah.

Some are really smarter, like one of my fren's son he addiction to computer game but he study at RI. I think they are minority.

I'm surprised to hear that kids in uniform can enter LAN centres nowadays. I've poor opinion of them because of newspaper reports and also there was once I spotted some secret society hand signs being exchanged outside one of these places.

I did saw before the student with uniform playing game at Bxxt LAN centres. I'm surprised too.
Sorry forgot to add this.

My son sneaked out to talk to us...he was homesick like many others who were crying but managed to hold back his tears. I had to distance myself away from him so that I won't cry. ηœŸε―ζ€œ.

I hope the school does something about this sad experience.

look on the bright side, now he knows how lucky he is to having loving parents and welcoming home to come back to everyday πŸ˜„

So, see the P5 camp as a training for your boy (and yourself) to be resilient and toughen him up a bit for NS? πŸ˜‰

I felt the visitation for parents for the P5 camp should be taken away since they were not allowed to speak to the kids. Why do they want to torture the child and the parents in this way (I think more for the parents)?

However, if parents were allowed to visit in the past, then it would be hard to remove this privilege in future.
Had a word with the VP just now. She said the people in charge of the camp fire are the ones who looked after the kids. Son told me those people made the kids throw away the biscuits they brought from home. The kids were not allowed 2nd helpings even though they were still hungry. I don't want to think of NS yet...right before my eyes is this thing called PSLE.

            Scary:
ηœŸηš„ζ˜―θΏ‘ζœ±θ€…θ΅€οΌŒθΏ‘ε’¨θ€…ι»‘γ€‚I couldn't ask the teachers to allocate him somewhere else.

Very true. My boy was involved in at least 5 fights in sch last year. More than 1 time changed seating position. Now in a better class, no such incidence ( :xedfingers: ).

We cant ask to change classes, but we worked very hard to get into a more disciplined class = better class.

These LAN centres impose a timing which disallows students in uniform to go inside. Once the time curfew is lifted, no restrictions.

My P4 boy used to attend CL tuition at Hans Language. One reason why I stopped is becos I was not comfortable with the BTSC enviro after encountering a few quarrels between young pple outside the gaming arcade. Also must think next time when the child is older n goes to the centre on his own. How to rest assured he wont be tempted or recruited into sth undesirable?

Sometimes teachers are good at teaching, but not so good at organizing stuff like camps etc...

These P5 camps are run by external agencies, right?

The school selects and interviews vendors...teachers are required to be present and leave the highly trained experts to handle the activities.

Mark, how come you can recognise secret society hand signs? :? Should we be worried?
When someone is covered with tattoos from neck to leg, any unusual hand signals will look like secret society to me. 🀷

Everytime he was being provoked. Dun see him so small sized, his punches are strong.

Some boys are really too playful. Walk to his table to take his stationery. Purposely sit next to him on the sch bus, then took a sharp stick to poke him. Sit in the sch hall behind him and called him names. He's the \"cant be disturbed type\". Play nice to him and he will treat u nice too.

The Mid Autumn festival day he used my money to buy a corn cup and asked for an extra soup. I thought it was for me. Ended up he shared the corn cup with a schmate, not his dear mummy
