So GY falls into one of these categories

if they could move Lim Swee Say from Bukit Timah - Holland to the East, why could't they move GY if there is a need to 'save' him; or PAP/LHL really thought GY could save his GRC......no doubt he polled more than 50% but was pulled down by other team members

People take time to accept changes, and to move along with changes. Apple was far too advanced in the earlier years that people are simply not ready for them. But when the time comes, there is no turning back. Perhaps in the political environment, it will take another GE or 2..

Yes, certainty, in a way. Yesterday, heard the news about declining birth rate and not enough population..

Government intervention should have a limit. Ours don't seem to know where to stop. Now still want to think about using American English? Suggestions should remain suggestions and implementions should be debated over parliament. Problem is when decisions are made by only one or two men.


The policies that seem so 'far-sighted' at the time of implementation sees results only decades later. There are many other policies that liken this e.g. eliminating chinese schools, removing farmlands...two of the which cannot cannot bear fruit until another few decades later. It is easier to cut trees down and build more buildings than to grow a forest, like it is easier to kill a fetus than bringing up a child..

The funny thing is, we still buy it, right? Asking us to tighten our belts and they continue to draw millions and billions? We like to hear good things, because we believe, and we want to believe, and want to continue believing…
