Didn't someone mention that they don't take up to their full allotment for S1 Central Posting either? I wonder how many the final intake will be for next year's batch.
if full enrolment, then the cop will be lower in order to fill the places ....Pen88n:
My friend called NJC this morning. They said that only 20% of the 2nd round got CO and all COs have been sent already.
2nd round selection camp participants is 200. 20% = 40 offered CO? So few? NJC used to accept up to 100 in the past years........that is a huge reduction! Are they waiting to offer more based on PSLE S1 posting?
:siam:

20% ? That's probably explains why so many here were disappointed.
What are they trying to do this year ?
Returning to 150 enrolment ?
Or increasing the number of S1 intakes ?
If so then their cop will definitely drops. -

Cannot understand the logic, if only intend to take in such a small handful, why need to shortlisted so many? A waste of their time gg thru interview n also waste our time n energy..... They should only short the potential few n not let so many go disappointed.tall71:
No la, to be fair to NJC, it did not charge another fee for 2nd round selection camp (unlike NUS High). Fee already included in first application.
Maybe like kids applying for more than 1 school DSA - to have more choice & just in case, NJC just want to have a bigger pool to choose from........ -

My Gal's NAFA T told us last Sunday tt One Gal DSA into RI Year 5 successfully thru Dance ....
They still need their National schools' awards and medals, mah.vlim:
Oh is it, mainly DSA under cca.. I thought only left 2 yrs only so schools would like students with good grades to join them so tt the school will have good A level results record mah ...
I'm Surprise when I heard this (DSA to JC with CCA) as Well ....

But if they were to offer so little CO and if most of the kids whom they offer CO also get co from other school...then end up they will have even lesser kids going to their schools thru dsa as certainly some will not accept the offer....plus they don't offer WL this yr right..So lets see what is its this yr cop..Otah:
Usually CCA involved are the performing arts and sports. I read in the papers that some good basketball players from CHS DSAed into RI and HCI.
