BPGHS is the BEST non-ip school in the west, COP for last year was 244 beating even nan hua. All my siblings (5 of us) are alumni.

Happy to see also that my girl's sec school tkgs is listed in the top performers too.

BPGHS should maybe in time become a SAP school. I have watch this year National Science Challenge in TCS5 and the boys from BPG perform extremely well and is the first school to get into the finals beating school like NUSHS in episode 5.

And BPGHS is the overall champion for this year NJRC 09 (National Junior Robotic Compeition). So they got to go Japan end of this year.

Just a few days ago, I read in the papers that Unity Sec, a neighbourhood school in Choa Chu Kang beats NUSH in yet another competition relating to math and science.

If I am not wrong they also beat RI in the finals, and is the overall Champion. Please watch the finals on TV, for confirmation.

Well, in my school's defence, NUS High is just a fledgling school compared to schools like RI, ACSI and BPGHS. I believe(and hope) that my school will, in time, be one of the top schools in Singapore.

Don't worry holyaxile, in time to come, as long as NUSH sticks to the stringent criteria of A* for Maths/Science and COP of more than 250, it would establish its own name of consistently producing the best M&S grads in SG. If you read some of the other posting, you would see that parents here hold NUSH in high regard too.


For eg, there's one post that mentions how this company prefers to take students on attachment from NUSH over other established schools as they perform better in the lab.

Also, my son's classmate who lives in Pasir Ris has insisted from day 1 that he wants to go to NUSH and good for him, he's been selected. He doesn't even mind the long distance there.

So the good name of NUSH is well known amng the students and parents.

To parents unsure of what CCA or school your child wishes to join after PSLE, do encourage them to come to our school and join the science team as our alumni comes back to provide professional trainings and hopefully, turn out to be the best of the competition team.

In fact, well done for BPGH this year but RV is not going to give up so easily too. Hahah ... jia you to all students. I see all the students enjoy themselves although it was a stressful period.

You got to look at all aspects of what Nus High has achieved in these short years.


It is not only from 1 or 2 competitions that you are able to judge them.

In competitions like NJRC and NSC, sometimes it is based on the luck too; whether one could buzz faster than the other. It does not mean that the winner knows it all or the runners-up are not as good.

Nus High is still very strong in all areas of maths and science. This can be seen from the seniors who have their journals being published internationally.

At the same time, look at their results in this year International Mathematical Olympiad, International Chemistry Olympiad,
International Physics Olympiad.

NUS High is the Top School in the A*STAR Talent Search 2009.

Just an update, the 1st batch of graduates consisting of 88 graduates are being accepted to local and overseas universities! This is the total number of the 1st batch of the students!
