Never used to think highly of the national costumes produced for the Miss Universe contests in the past but thot that this year's dress was quite nice. Not easy trying to fit our various cultures into one outfit.

I find that the dress, make up and hair has more Indian influence than the other 3 cultures.

I do not agree. While Indians do keep long hair and tied them up, but definitely much neater and nicer than what this girl has.

although i can't really tell if it represents \"singapore\" very well..
when i first saw it, Nepal or Bhutan comes to mind keke..

i like the hair too ~ and i think it needs to be really long to make a statement, especially with the dress.
if it's shorter the total effect would not be so striking and might end up rather half-hearted.. jmho :love:
