      Hi - For Henry Park 2011 Science Prelim - Booklet A Q 21 - could someone confirm if the answer sheet answer of (1) (ie 4 populations) is correct?

      Also for Qn 43B - Which of the Materials A,B, or C would be the most suitable for making safety vests for cyclists what would be the answer?

      Thanks

      Hi vidhyalog,
      For Q21, the answer (1) is correct. There are 4 animal populations. Hibiscus & Ixora are plants.

      For Q43B, the answer in the answer key is Material A. It reflected the most light.
      However, DD's answer is Material C. It reflected light at the furthest distance from the light source. So....:scratchhead: Any other input?

      Thanks Tinkerbelle. I also did not read the question properly for Q21 - cannot blame my son!

      For 43B - my son also wrote C - as it reflected light at the farthest. Any other parents care to share?
      Thanks

        Dear Vanilla Cake, :thankyou:

        For sharing the ans and the info. My dd also got $15 for qn 9 but when put $15 into the qn, the ans does not make sense as # of t-shirts is not whole number.

            Yes, you are right. The # of t-shirts is not a whole number. Perhaps, you may wish to write to ACS (Junior/Primary) Maths HOD to seek clarification and share the outcome of your findings in KSP forum.
            Thks.

            For the info of KSP members in this forum, Q9 (3-mark):

            Mr Lee bought some T-shirts for $425. If he was given a discount of 15%, he would be able to buy 5 more identical T-shirts for the same amount of money. What was the original price of each T-shirt?

                  Henry Park Math paper.

                  Part I Q27 and Part II Q9 were missing some important informations.
                  Is this the question: Paper 1 Q27 that you wrote as \"Part I Q27\" ->
                  http://i54.tinypic.com/2klz7k.png\">
                  The smaller angle given is 74 degree while the bigger angle given should be 145 degree. Angle a is the one at the tip of the isosceles triangle.
                  145 degree - 74 degree = 71 degree
                  (180-71-71) degree
                  = 38 degree

                  As for Part II Q9, is this the question on the flow rate of tap A and tap B together with a graph?
                  If yes, suggested solution as below:

                  Tap A
                  6 min -> (30-24) litres = 6 litres
                  1 min -> 1 litre
                  3 min -> 3 litres

                  Tap A + Tap B
                  (9-6) min -> (24-9) litres
                  3 min -> 15 litres

                  Tap B
                  3 min -> 15 litres - 3 litres = 12 litres
                  1 min -> 4 litres

                  In one minute, 4 litres of water were drained out from Tap B.

                  If not, which question is \"Part II Q9\" in 2011 Henry Park Pri Sch P6 Prelim that you had mentioned?

                    The Chongfu CA2 science paper is tough.
                    Booklet A (MCQ) or Booklet B (OEQ)?

                    ngbrdad:
                    Anyone disagree with any of the answers for the MCQs ?
                    All answers given for MCQs are correct.

                      Q10 - Her answer is 2 but answer key was 3!

                      Hi Brenda10,

                      All given answers for MCQs (2011 Congfu School P6 CA2 Science) are correct.
                      For Q10, pls ask your DD to read the question again. It says \"An experiment was set up....... in the diagram below\" means at the start of the experiment, everything was shown as per set up in the diagram itself.So, the correct answer should be option (3) - W, Y and Z only.

                      Thks.

                        Sorry for Part II what I meant was question 12. The angles x and y were not labeled.
                        Just like the question above where angle a was not labeled.
