after the last paper in PSLE, the first thing for mum to do is to find a big box and throw all primary sch books/files/notes in there. Counting down to that day…to have free shelf space for my books again!
there is no more official classification between geppers and non-gep after sec two

              my understanding could be wrong

Yup, no more GEPpers vs Non-GEPpers after Yr 2. Replaced by RA vs non-RA?? :scratchhead:

My ignorant question - then what is this \"maintain your GEP status\" thing?? I got to learn about this when i attended this P6 talk for GEP parents organise by the school. The speaker is someone from MOE GEP dept. This was the first time i heard of \"GEP status\". Basically this lady said, \"the child can maintain his/her GEP status only if he fulfill the criteria\". One of the criteria is passing the SS.

So my question is if there's no difference btn GEP or no GEP after P6 or Sec 2, then what is this \"GEP status\". Does anyone know?
that status ends at end of sec 2
I am glad tt my ds got to his dream school ... But I worry for my p3 dd mah 😉 ..... Just joking ..

I am just putting myself in other pple shoes ....

No big deal. Majority of us have kids NOT in premier schools, unlike the majority in this thread of discussion. What to do?

                Hi ying,
I did not say tt I put myself in other pple shoes whose kids didn't get any CO which sorry to know that it put u off... What I mean is by taking in FTs, it take up the chances/places of some of the local students enrolling to the school, be it through dsa or S1 postings and thats it. And of course, this not only happen in NJC but in some other schools as well....
I find nothing wrong / rude of both original comments by vlim and phankao

may be my skull and skin too thick to feel anything

but frankly, parents, chill ! there is no point continuing with finger pointing for inconsequential remarks...and vlim and phankao, i am not belittling you both by say 'inconsequential' hor ...... you both are not so 'small air' .....

Come back, come back, need your advice on CHS.
Aiyoh - today got CHS concert, leh. My baby had fun. Am amazed at his good behaviour at concert. But hey, this all has nothing to do with DSA. Sorry leh - I've got nothing much to contribute on the topic of DSA already.

BTW, there's always the CHS thread.
