try set to OFF and then ON again, see if it works

if not, try rebooting by power-off (not standby), wait a while, power up, see apple sign, ... , and see if it works

Pressing the power button once only set it to standby and the screen is off, but the iPad is not switched off and will still drain the battery. Prob most pple never off their ipad in practical use.


To off it, Hold the power button, until the slide to power off display appears, then slide to power off. In this case, the Ipad doesn’t draw power from the battery.
