      phtthp:
my friend ask - any good before or after school care near Maha Bodhi school ?

Just to share with you based on our experience. The one related to the school, they provide catering vegetarian food. When it comes to school holidays, the students are quite relax. The centre would just let the student have fun times till almost school reopen. For year end holidays, they only started to get the student to prepare for next year stuff when it's nearing the date. My dd has just changed to another one centre two months ago (above the Shop and save supermarket), they provide HPB style cooked food in the centre. The student are require to do student care's assessment and have playtimes too during school holidays. Beside that my dd would also bring some assessment to student care to do even on normal school days and most of the time he would be able to complete both student care work and the one he brought from home. My dd and I had preferred the last one cause it is easier for him to catch up after a long holiday. You may want to get your friend to visit the two or more student care centres during this period cause it's the school holiday and he/she may get more updated information.

              Admummy,

Yes, it's good to check with the school bus operator directly as proposed by 7788. Timing depends on the size of bus. I realised in area where lesser students stay, they usually use a mini or mid-sized bus. So timing are fairly reasonable but of course you have to pay a premium.

We used to stay in Upper changi area and my dd was on the mid size bus. She was the last to get on the bus as our place was nearer to expressway. So she went to school pretty late and came back early too to our surprise.

Now that we've shifted to upper serangoon area, they are in a mini bus. Timing are fairly reasonable.

Thanks MMM & 7788 for the info! I will take note of the contact shld o need it in futureโ€ฆActually I will only be shifting to Punggol in 3-4 yrs time when my gal will be pri 3 or 4 (she will be pri 1 next yr).I am against the move but DH insisted that it is for the better as he sees very little growth potential at the place we staying now (Bedok reservoir) plus amenities sucks! In any case, I really heart pain for my children (3 of them including my gal) if the school turns into single session and they got to leave the house at dawn

                  Hi Admummy,

Wow that is planning ahead ๐Ÿ˜‰

Actually, at that P3 and P4 stage, there are other considerations. Eg. what happens after CCA, adhoc school activities, etc... I assume the bus uncle can help to fetch most of the time. In our case, we are at upper serangoon area and the charge is $5 per trip for after school bus ride. We are not that far from school and have 4 direct buses so now I am trying to train them to go home by themselves. My P3 ds is more daring and will do so but my P4 dd will request my maid to fetch her as she is worried that she will fall asleep on the bus.... :faint:

I also have a child who is going to P1 next year. ๐Ÿ•บ

Hi, what about Andrew Er???? My kids are still with Enopi.

BTW, saw the maths paper and was   :stompfeet: :frustrated: haha that described all my feelings. Sounds extreme but I told them I will fine them $1 for each careless mistake. So I actually went through his paper and deducted $9. This is to make them feel the pinch that every marks count and every careless mistake cost them $1. So they must be careful.
