        Hi,

Believe u must be looking for adventure outdoor activities?? Ya, brought my kids to walk on southern ridge, a short route though, been to the Hort Park, view the indoor plants, outdoor plants, brought them to the playground there.... When walking thru the trail, can actually feel the nature close to us. I would also prefer hiking at Bukit Timah Hill. Can really feel the fresh air, the green nature, BUT, stamina not so good, so dun go there often.

Recently, recommended by colleague to Marina Barrage, less adventure there, but kids enjoy very much. Within a month, we have been there for 4 times. A new outing destination for us, still can feel the freshness of it. First, can't miss the water playgound for kids. Second, walk thru the gallery to view on WATER and ITS CONSERVATION. Lastly, picnic at the rooftop, where both hubby and i can rest on the mat with food (pack from home, brought tidbits....), the kids can kick ball, blow bubbles. Can fly kite too. I am not a good FLYER, so havent got chance to do so with kids. But they ever flew kite with their uncle. They will play with other kids they meet there. Introduce each other and can play together. Build their social life too. Juz been there yesterday, and can view partial fireworks from NDP rehearsel.

I go to places with less cost incurred, free admisson/entry is the best. No choice lah, every cents count. Other outdoor activities include, visiting fish farm (Qianhu at Sungei Tengah or the other one at Neo Tiew), animal farm (Farmart at Sungei Tengah or Animal Resort at Seletar Farmway). These are less remote or rather ulu places.

Can consider spending with yr loved ones....

hi there, wondering where this marine barrage is? I like the idea of a nice picnic! How’s the weather here? And are there any summer/ holiday camps here in Singapore for children? I like the Singapore Education System very much.

Well weather here is hot and humid most of the year. Do prepare for rain and sun any time. Marine Barrage is near Marina MRT station (not really walking distance)

There is a free shuttle bus that goes there from the train station if you don't intend to drive there. Their website have the details.

I brought my family to the goat farm, the frog farm and the vegetable farm in the Lim Chu Kang Area.

It's actually quite fun, as we got to see things that normal city folk don't get to see.

The frog farm has a tour guide as well.

u can check out the details here:

Hort park is a really nice place. Or you can try Normanton Park and then walk to Hort park.
