          htn:

need help, ACS prelim science booklet A,q 19, ans is 1 and

q 27, ans is 2,can help to explain?

          TIA

Answer for 27 is the best available answer among the 4 give.

For question 19. I'm not sure 1 is the correct answer cos it still look like a closed circuit to me.
          Anybody wants to comment ?
          Thanks.

Could be because when the bulb is removed the circuit is broken - assuming that the bulb holder is not the key to completing the circuit probably because it is made of plastic?

The batteries are in parallel arrangement right ?
Thought the bulbs are in parallel arrangement too ?

The Chongfu CA2 science paper is tough.

Anyone disagree with any of the answers for the MCQs ?

                Hi Ngbrdad,

My son has some debate for the following questions in the Chongfu paper:

Q8 - He put 3 as the answer. (He then wondered whether the key word there is immediately which may result in (2) happening first )
Q17 - He put (1) as the answer. His argument is that while the oil layer and cover both ensure prevention of evaporation - one cannot assume that the effectiveness of this prevention will be the same therefore he will not choose (2) as the answer. - I don't know if that is a valid argument.

                Any thoughts on that.

                        Hi r2010,
I think 10pm is reasonable for now. I'll try to get DD to sleep earlier for PSLE but DD said she can't get to sleep too early. Think my gal's running on Energiser battery...keke
