Thanks Funz.
I used to survive with part-time help. I used Homemakers. Not sure if they are still around. My contract with them was for once a week. Things they do,Funz:

Have never engaged any part-time help so far.....wondering, what are the things that you would outsourced to part-time helper? Is it really useful?
Also, probably wanna start looking at gadgets that are useful......
1. vacuum
2. mop
3. wash toilets
4. change bedsheets
5. ironing
And at the same time, they will return or collect any clothes that needs to be dry cleaned.
I handed them a set of my house keys and they will come and clean while I am at work. They bring their own cleaning tools and detergents if you do not have any. At that time it cost me close to $300/mth. There is an insurance, if their cleaners break or spoil anything, they will try to replace it with the same thing if not then one of similar value/function.
Problem is, if I'm working, probably easier to justify.....but SAHM leh.
When I see things dirty, I would try to settle it asap....so things might be rather clean when the part-time help turn up once a week.....so seems like throwing :moneyflies: :scratchhead: Actually, some of the chores can wait a day or two, I find the most time-consuming is the cooking. Tried dinner delivery before, but family members complain.......still trying hard to look for a balance so that my life can be less 'hectic'.[/quote]I guess if you are a SAHM it does not make sense to spend that kind of money for someone to come in to do what you can easily handle on a day to day basis. When we were using the part time help, DH and I were DINKs and we work long hours and travel a fair bit too. I don't fancy spending my weekends doing household chores so no choice pay loh. -

It is not easy to find part-time cleaner that can iron well and willing to clean windows. -

Hi fifiyeo, care to share where you bought the scooba and Rhoomba from any contact in Singapore? How much are they each? TKS.Parent456:
Hi all,
Planning to go \"maidless\" in 2 mths time - I'm keen to buy a i-robot. If i buy a scooba, do I still need to buy a roomba ?
Thanks in advance for the advice.
I went maidless 9 months ago. If you want to do a GOOD floor cleaning job, you'll need both. I started off with a Rhoomba and then eventually got a Scooba. Both do a fantastic job together but Scooba requires some minor washing after use (about 5-10 mins) and a few spare parts subject to wear and tear occassionally. Well worth all the $$$ I spent on them!
Get a good spin mop too to clean the edges and stairs (if you have them). -
do any of u have 3 young kids and able to cope without maid and parents?
-
Hi Zann,
I got my rhoomba from http://robovac.weebly.com/index.html
It's a 550 series @ $670.00
Then I got my Scooba from http://autovacstore.com/
It's the 385 model @ $700.00
If you want the lastest model of Rhoomba 700 series, the local distributor has it but for quite a price tag! $1000+!
You can check them out. Hope it helps.
