I have finally gotten a chance to interview a maid from Universal, gosh the agency fees is so high at $1500 - $1900 for Indon maid!! I will be doing a phone interview with her employers today,I hope that she is worth the $…sigh…

Wow! Agency fees $1500- $1900??!!! So what do they include in this "Agency Fees" The good thing is at least you get to speak to the previous employers. But is that the reason for charging $1500 and above?

And also why you willing to pay $1500-$1900 agent fee? much higher than marker rate

Yeah the reason given for the high fees is that since the maid has no loan she can work happily and their agency has the lowest transfer rates.
The girl came to me for interview at my place on Friday and we are the 1st who interview her. Today when I want to arrange phone interview with the employer, the agency says that the amah pass away so cant do phone interview, and the employer has said that if we dont confirm the maid,they will send the maid back to Indon.
I find it so strange, her employer is not giving her a chance to interview with other employer and all of a sudden there is a death in the family, now I am not sure if i Should go ahead… after all I can directly employ the maid if she goes back… -
Any one heard of Patience Maid Agency? Can I have their reviews… is it a good agency?

I tot only indo maid then go braless.. phino also like tat..headache...my indo maid tis morning complain abt my kids saying they dont respect her..she dont even respect me how can my kids respect her..i did taught my girls mus show respect to maid..only my youngest dos not like her cos she likes to nag n mumbling she dont know what she's saying... d maid only wif my 1 mth and dare to complain...i call the agent tis pm telling her to prepare to get me another maid cos this maid she recommend show potential attitude of changing empolyer again sigh sigh nowsaday hard to find good n loyal maid....
Peace Charlie, I tot its strange when I read your comment previously abt Indon going braless.. cos i never encountered one.... BUT LO AND BEHOLD, my indon maid of 1 mth appeared in front of me braless on Sat night!! :yikes:
When I questioned her, she said she go braless when she sleeps... I told her I can't accept it as here she is walking ard the house w/o a bra... that night, my hub slept early, BUT he is usually still up at that hour. There are men in the family, so I cannot accept her going braless. Period. :scared: :frustrated: -
Times are a-changing. my first indo maid (2004 start) had a pair of short pants, plus a sarong, and would also bind herself up in a blanket at night. She would also close the door, close the windows. We did wonder about all her safety precautions - not hot meh? She was that worried about getting attacked.

indeed what i heard indo maid tot they can do their way at our hse… not long ago i told my indo maid this is my hse n she has to obey my rules n regulations if she doesnt out she go…what kind of thinking r they how can they go braless in our hse what is she thinking of. She even dare to open my room door when i close it cos i was discussing sommething impt with DH n she dare to open it without knocking i told her off immediately and she was not happy abt it…
