        TIA.
Answer key is (3) - A, C, E right? My son chose (2) - C & E coz he said A has nothing to do with what they're testing for. Not so sure if he's correct but I think so.

          Hi andante

Glass beads have curved surfaces (convex). Any transparent object with curved (convex) surfaces will be able to converge light rays although the convergence of the rays will not be as perfect as that of a magnifying glass.

Regarding the adaptation question, my interpretation is that the word \"releases\" suggested that the earthworm has acted (behaved) in a certain way i.e. by excreting mucus, for the purpose of the adaptation. (Under normal time, the mucus is for other purposes.) So it is behavioural adaptation.
Other examples of action words are : puffs out its body/feather, moves slowly to conserve energy; coiled up to act dead; ...

However, if it is \"produces mucus for the adaptation\", then my interpretation is that the body system of the animal has evolved to be able to produce mucus solely for that adaptation. So it would be structural adaptation.
          Thank you very much.

                        Dear atutor2001

I posted a query in another thread asking what is a decent score for booklet b. It is difficult for my son to score 36. He is from one of the sch listed on top ten sch papers. What is yr advice to getting a high score? His booklet a is usually a 54 or 56. Thank u.
