32 is of course an acceptable mark for OE but if careless in MCQ section... 😓 :faint: Science is different from Math. More concept based. Even if killer paper just fall back on those concepts. In fact with current format, more application questions so will lead to the concepts. During PSLE Science, time management is very important. Heard some usually A* kids spent too much time on MCQ during PSLE then not enough time to do OE. Result turn out A. Some schools' own Science exam papers MCQ section are set at too ridiculously tough standards so the poor kids in such schools are not used to PSLE's comparatively easier MCQ questions. All the best to your kid wormy... :rahrah:

I still remember dd told me she left 10 minutes for checking the Science prelim paper due to MCQ was very tough! 😓

We are here to share 😄 Your poor kid! But luckily that was just a rehearsal :nailbite: For the real thing, remind her about time management. Those schools which set unusually tough Science MCQs are scaring the kids. Just hope that the kids know how to differentiate. All the best for your kid Brenda10 :rahrah:

Yes, MCQ section is indeed a crucial section to score...60 marks there. I've been reminding my boy. As for OE, I'll be glad if he can remember the concepts and the keywords.

My tutors and myself have compiled concept notes for P5 & P6 Maths. Not in mindmap form though. It's listed in point form, showing basic concepts and skills and things to note for problem solving according to the respective topics.
My DD P3 now, but can I have the MAP too. (Really KS)

10 minutes? I will always either could not finish the paper or have insufficient time to check . I always get in between 68-74 😞

Yes, indeed MCQ is very important. My son paid a very heavy price in the prelim as he had 8 questions wrong. He usually scores 56/60. As a result, he dropped 20 positions in level! But this is a good learning experience for him, to know where he went wrong so as to fine tune for the PSLE which is more important.

Sorry to hear that but now still have time to do more practice (selected topics) to increase the accuracy and speed since there is still 12 days before the Science paper take place.

                      Jiayou! :rahrah:

Can we use 2 calculators in PSLE.

My DS’s teacher said that they can only have one calculator approved per person
