Same here, the badge quality is not good.....My son was going to tell his form teacher he lost the badge but I told him to show the pin that stayed on. Anyway that was end of last term so he didn't get a replacement.

It already happened to us once last term, shortly after getting the badge. Fortunately, it dropped at home and we glued it back with super glue. This time, it happened in school and DD just had no idea where it had dropped.

Is there a specific day which is like a CCA day, or does it vary depending on which CCA one joins?

Not too sure, but it appears to be on Wed, Thurs and Fri mostly (like Chinese Orchestra and Choir are on Fridays). I was told previously that Mon/Tues are reserved for outings/trips...?

            Hi Parent,

Have you heard the school has already selected some of the children for special lesson during normal school times?

I heard the school stream into 2 groups, the intelligent group and improvement group.

Is already started, is that true?

For primary one level. I think is not possible cos is almost end of the year, what kind of special class the intelligent students will attend?

I may be wrong, but stream them at such a young age, P1 only is crazy. What about the late boonmers? Will be quite unfair.

If the school arrange special class for those weaker students, is good cos can help them to catch up with other students.

                But for intelligent students, is????

Never heard about such things, especially for P1 and P2 for the past 2 years. Maybe support learning groups, yes, but that is a MOE thing, for weaker students in specific subjects...

Does anyone know if there are auditions for the String Ensemble for the 2012 Primary ones? Who do I contact?

I note that the CCA days for String Ensemble is wed and Thurs. Is that for 2 days?

                      Thanks mommyNg.

I've heard one parent (also not sure if is true) said that the school has streamed the primary one students to attend special lesson during the normal class lesson, the high IQ group and the improvement (for weaker students) group.

I also never come across such news for Primary one students select for high IQ, as I only know they have class coaching for weaker students.

May be not the IQ special selection, I believed is for special talent selection.

                      :?

yes, they do, but only for one lesson a week. But for those in need of learning support it is more often.
