Hi Tinkerbelle,

I also think so but today the wind change direction again.

DD had done a lot of S&T in class and also brought back another 30 maths problem sum to work out.

Now then we can start to feel the heat!

Hi Brenda,
Wind change direction..keke...Maybe the sch is attempting to distribute time fairly between all subjects for the final week prior to PSLE.

Wow...30 maths problem sums?? Is that to finish by tonight? That's quite a fair bit huh. Really lots of action now. :nunchuk:

Hi Tinkerbelle,

Think should not be the problem lah!

BTW, another set of CL paper already finished during the class. Think the CL teacher want them to handle the 理解问题 like eat 家常便饭!
Hi Brenda,

Your DD is indeed very motivated & disciplined. Think many kids will 😓 at the thought of doing 30 maths problem sums in 1 night. :ugogirl:

I :salute: your DD's CL teacher for her dedication and drive. Think by PSLE , your DD's class will really treat 理解问题 like 家常便饭....'sup sup sui'. 😉

Hi Belle,

Yes, next week today, should be getting the kids ready for math paper.

We try to keep the routine as structure as possible. No big changes.

Bottom line, I believe the child must maintain good health, happy and ready for the exam.

Cheers,
Leanne

Hi everyone,

How time flies! We are exactly 1 week away from PSLE.
Next week this time, our P6 kids would have sat for their English paper & will be preparing for their maths paper for the next day.

How are all of you & your kids coping?

Is it fixed that for all the PSLE subjects, an A* is 91 and above ?

Or does it fluctuates year to year ?
I'm still puzzled by the stories of kids with 4A* but a t score of only 244.

No A* not fixed at 91 and above. This is the rough guide used by most schools.

A* score fluctuates every year depending on difficulty of PSLE .

Every subject PSLE score is calculated based on T score.

T-score = 50 + 10 x (X-Y)/Z

X = Raw score of student
Y = Average Score of the whole cohort
Z = Standard Deviation

It's your kid's performance relative to other kids, benchmarking using bell curve.

For easy PSLE paper, A* could be higher than 91 eg 93
For difficult PSLE paper, A* could be lower than 91 eg 85

So that's probably explains the possibility of 4A* and t score of 244.
If 4 subjects all 85 it's possible I guess.

Hi Tinkerbelle,

I also like her CL teacher.

Since this paper is 90 out of 2O0 marks we just hope that her effort is pay off.

Hi Brenda,

Well said. I always love your 天时,地利,人和 quote.Comes to any subject, if the paper is of a right fit for the child, and bingo...

Cannot imagine how kanchong I will be when comes to next week...as if am taking the exam...

Most of all, good health and steadiness for all the p6 candidates next week.

Cheers,
Leanne

Hi Leanne

You're right!

Health and Luck play a very important factor in this battle!

If the questions or topics happen to be 熟口熟脸,then bingo! :rahrah:

I think as of now, the only area can still do more touch on is Math and Science as language can be anything under the sun especially English!
Just my 2 cents thought!

Now really home stretch liao.

Hopefully both the Adidas and Nike motto are already etched in the kids’ mind.

Impossible in Nothing and

JUST DO IT !!!

Taking leave from next Mon till the following Mon to have more time to supervise DS.

Time for me to have a break also. LOL
