I have some interest but the cost of the materials has been keeping me from starting. How much typically do you have to spend on one book? Also I live in west too far away from Tampines!
patntee, the same reason- high costs- has been stopping me from this exciting past-time. But after helping my boys with their projects, I would like to start on just one about- who else- my brood.
I too live in the west so will have to miss the Tampines gathering (at least not regularly)
I am just looking for tips and ideas. Maybe the eastern scrapbookies can share experiences and ideas. Post pictures of the progress?

Belated thanks for the invite, Susan. Though the timing is ok,its quite a busy period for me. Maybe the next time around, in mid-oct if any convenient for you.
I want to know where i can get supplies besides Paper Market, Popular and Art Friend. I saw some card stock paper at AF- 25 pcs for $8 and anothe bulk pack at 150pcs for $25. Not sure if I’d sustain this interest beyond the maiden project thus hesitant to get the bulk pack. Any other places for value buys?
I also recently learnt tht albums are the way to ‘bind’ or keep together the various pages.I wonder if there are any other methods. Will share my boys’ projects and my cover page.
Its really own time own target for me and dh to work on our scrapbook. Hope to complete cover page (very simple layout) by next week and then start putting together some pages.
Hope the experienced ones can share some pix? -
sssdarlings, another option you can consider is photobooks. May work out cheaper, easier and preserve better, except don't have 3D effect of scrapbook materials. And less fun I guess.

Where to get photobooks? I dont mind skipping the 3D effects since this is my first attempt. But I really like the pretty patterns and layouts- can these be included in photobooks?

Think most photo shops will have them. You need to create the photobooks yourself using their software, which can be downloaded. Eg fotohub, albumstories etc. Not so sure about the patterns, maybe depends on the software they have. You can google and try to create a few pages see if you like then order.
