Hi Micollh, same here!! My boy is 4 this year. Hubby is TN old boys. Thus I am checking out on the logistics. NC is an option, need to do PV too if want to get into NC... Maybe can consider private arrangements, gather kids from SengKang going to Tao Nan get a van to fetch all. 🙂

Have your kids in P1 completed their Maths Show and Tell?

All along I thought that the teacher will give them a problem for them to solve and explain to the class. So no prep on our part.
Imagine my horror when I reminded him on 20 Sep that he was scheduled to do show and tell on 21 Sep and asked him what his friends have done.
Then he told me that one friend do a comic book and ask me what he can do. Then I realise that it is a Show and Tell with a Math theme and that he has to prepare for it independently. Have to scrambled up some interesting Math problem for him to share with the class this week. Haiz
Does anyone knows what are the guide lines for P1 Maths Show and Tell? (To present on Term 4 wk 3) Was there one?

Seems like I did not receive it or my gal must have lost it. If there is can scanned a copy to me? Thanks in advance.

Oh dear, I didn't see this in my boy's bag too. Was there one?

Hi everyone, I am also stumped by this MATHS Show & Tell. Any advise how to do it?
:?

This is very strange. DS is in P2. There were letter from TNS suggesting topics and plus some do & don't for both his P1 and P2 show & tell. He had English S&T for both year, Chinese poem recital for P1 and S&T for P2. All with advanced instruction from school. No Maths S&T.

Strange that there are no instruction when preparation is required. :?

Yes, there were specific instructions for EL Show and Tell which was in Term 3 after June Hols. P1 also had a short poem recital around the same time where the teacher gave us 2 poems to choose from.

But for Math Show and Tell - only a short note indicating date of test for each group of students.
Was told another child prepared a ppt on Money to be shared with the class.

Probably the school is not expecting any preparation, but some kiasu parents  decided to read beyond the lines and prepared something on their own.

Why not call or email the teacher and ask?
