Hi comfy,
Sometimes, I wonder how to join competitions when she is already shortage of time. Really amaze of such kids, have time to participate this & that. May I know what sort of competitions does your ds/dd participate? Learning to help my dd look good on her resume.... got to give it a try.angell:
All the best to your dd! Join as many relevant competitions as possible, will look gd in resume.
IMHO, first you have to identify yr dd's strengths. My dd participated mostly in math n sci competitions. -

I know that if you are not selected in the math competitions at the beginning of the year, you won't hear of the competitions ever again (in her school). Sometimes, just wonder whether the kid will have a chance to join a competition/camp if she didn't participate or not selected in the beginning of the year. -
Any P5 GE parents know what format is EL P1 going to be in this coming SA2? Is it same as PSLE ? If so what kind of functional writing will be included? Email? report, letter…? Did not see them practice so far, so clueless …

hi zann,
Dun know leh. I will check with my dd later. -
Hi to all…
Juz like to check whether other schools has the same practice. Before the Investigative Math Test, my dd’s class was given a practice paper. They were asked to write their answers on a separate sheet of paper. The teacher went thru the paper with them, after that all question & answer sheets were collected back, & the teacher told them that all papers would be shredded. Today the teacher gave the actual test paper back to them, went thru the paper & again collected back.
I am puzzled. Isn’t it weird!? We as parents do not even know what our kids are learning & tested in schools.
