if you want really yummy choc cake, dont use normal cocoa powder use Valrhona cocoa powder. Its super rich. You can buy it from sunlik at seah street.

Is this Valrhona same as the one in 360 at ION? I think it is super ex too right? Sunlik sounds really familiar, where were they before? They are a baking ingredients supplier too? Ehm...interesting.

Yes it's the same valrhona, but price wise for baking supplies is a little cheaper. The cocoa powder makes a big difference to the richness of the choc cakes I bake.

Yup sunlik is a baking ingredients supplier, and has been at seah st for the last 10 years or more. but small scale compared to phoon huat.

It is toothachingly sweet. Seriously.

Should have cut back the sugar like I normally do with all recipes. But was afraid it will not turn out right since sugar is afterall the most important ingredient in most candies.
