Pat's Schoolhouse
-
Hi ladies,
May I know which Pat School House which your child is attending?
Mine is attending the school in central. -
Dear BabyRR
Sorry for the late reply, didnt have time to log in last week. I have not secured both schools. Since I will not get any of the registration fee back, I will make a decision in December when things are more firm.
Deep down I like Pats School House but not Aroozoo location. The other disadvantage is I am offered a FULL day which I dont need as I am a SAHM. What will I do the whole day at home without him? If he goes half day, I can ensure he eats lunch well at home and nap a solid 2 hours.
Eton is ideal now for me because of its location and also a IB school, of course it is not cheap either. I dont mind bringing him to school everyday but I will be loitering around the school for 3 hours not doing anything useful. I was really looking forward to next year when I can have a good 3 hours break while he is in school. It has been quite challenging doing the parent-child class for a while.
So I will wait and see… have you made up your mind? Where do you stay? -
Sorry, typo error. I meant to say I have secured BOTH schools. Paid up for both schools.

i serve to confuse u more
hmm good nap is a reason why i let my both 3yrs old go for half day. even in nursery now, i worry much if he naps well in school. On days i see him with dark rings under the eyes, i know he dun nap well and makes him sleep early -
Hi Sher
Like you, I secured both schools. And like you, I prefer Pat's curriculum. Have spoken to a couple of friends too. Both of them felt Pat's curriculum prepare the kid better for local primary while Eton house is better for preparing kid for international school. Mainly because of Pat's focus on chinese. Since my 2 kids are definitely going local, I'm more inclined to go with Pats.
But I am also concerned abt Aroozoo being a new location and hence we won't know about the hardware until the children actually start school. But Aroozoo is good for me in that it is relatively near my parent's place at Kovan, so putting them there means it will be easier to arrange back up logistics when necessary.
I am currently SAHM. Till this Fri actually
Am starting work next Mon after spending a year at home to take care of the kids. So I do need full day cc. If I put them in Etonhouse, I would also be putting full day actually. That's the other reason I prefer pat's bec my elder one can attend enrichment in the pm whereas at Eton it'll just be cc from 330 onwards. -
I do not agree that Pat’s schoolhouse prepares chinese better.
Pat’s school house is good at showcasing the bestrproduce of a child.
For Etonhouse you see what you get.
So far for my daughter’s school and my nephew’s school, be it CHiltern House, Etonhouse or Pat’s ; all the children attend other chinese enrichment to do very well for Chinese at P1 -

Thought those who go expensive childcare/kindy don't need extra enrichmentI do not agree that Pat's schoolhouse prepares chinese better.

:yikes: wow, times have really changed. Last time, they were seen as providing a one stop solution to parents who want CC/ preschool and enrichment. -
