Everyone ready for SA2? So much to revise for Science, not sure how to tackle it. Any ideas?

How about revise the most recent topics first, then work backward, ending at P3 topics. I think this way, your kid can go thru' faster as the most recent topic is still fresh in his/her memory.

Thanks for your valuable tip comfy :snuggles: Getting my son to tackle this year's topics first and get concepts firmly in the head. Then work backwards. Some topics in lower block like magnets, energy and life cycles are linked to topics taught this year. Lots of total recall and linking. Not easy especially with more keywords.

Not easy especially with more keywords.[/quote]You are most welcome Janet_lee88. If school notes are not sufficient, like in my case, I use Science companion by Renee Chong. I find this book easy to use and can at least let the kid get the foundation/concept right. If still not enough or can master this book, then proceed to other more challenging one. And of course, follow by lot of practices of exam papers and most important --> let the kid has plenty of rest to absorb all the information.

This week other than school hw, we've been practising Oral.
Have been reminding son to memorize some 道理 like 公德心，优雅社会 blah blah blah. Hope he can remember and to say the right thing for the right situation :xedfingers:

Hi Janet_lee88, you are really on the ball ! I just go thru' with my dd only on the conversation portion. Don't want her to be tongue-tied or say \"huh?..huh?\" and just stare at the teacher.
Anyway, my dd's EL/CL orals are over. She told me she doesn't know how to say 'flying fox' in chinese. Hope that she will do well.

Actually I didnt know orals can be prepared. All these years, I just go through the book with him and that's about it. Paper 2 is very tough this year. I am exploring which areas he can try to score and pull up the marks
I am almost begging him to memorize all the useful phrases, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE say the right thing for the right situation.

Not possible to use that method...time is too short. Besides, I am not that committed and hardworking.
