The last number in the group of 8 ends in column A.
It may be clearer if we work in groups of 8.
432/8 = 54 remainder 0. So 432 is the last number in a group of 8 i.e. D -
Hi Guitar, how did u get 26? Because Qn 15 asks for least no. of days. I agree this is a trick question, so cannot start reading on Mon. Must start on either Thurs or Fri. Then can get 24 days. My DD also got 26, but she knows her answer is wrong.

This is maths olympiad question . A is correct , because as u realize, if you get the number and divide it by 4, when the answer is an even number, then it is in column A. but when the answer is an odd number, then it shuld be in column D
