Was this year maths tougher than last year?

From feedback of this thread, it is seems like easier then their prelim maths paper šŸ˜‚ ..( sorry if I get it wrong šŸ˜‰ )

I think its harder, but then only hard to those 75 percentile and below.
I have many friends who say difficult until die one.

any other questions in math or english paper to discuss?

Based on DD2's memory for 2011 PSLE Maths:

                  Paper 1 Q27
Five tins with same number of marbles in them. 18 marbles are taken from each of them and in the end, 5 of these tins have the same number of marbles as two of the original tins. How many marbles are there in each tin at first?

                  Paper 1 Q28
A person eats rice. In 8 days, he has half of the total amount of rice remaining. In 10 days, 900 grams of rice are left. How much rice does he have at first?

There are teachers and students that had bought tickets. The price of each ticket for a teacher is $20 while that of a student costs $8. The number of tickets bought by the teachers is 1/4 of the total number of tickets bought. The amount of money collected from the students is $624 more than that from the teachers. What is the total amount of money collected?

BTW, are the P1 - P5 all having school holiday during PSLE period ? I know of some getting their students attend afternoon sessions. But how about those school having double session? Sry OTP.

Tough paper means there will be very high T-scorer (the real super kids, mmm...may be 290+) this yr.

My Gal's sch P3 to P5 is on normal sch hr ....
And they have to take their PSLE Exam in their P6 Classroom.

Lessons are also as usual for P3-P5 at DD's sch. PSLE Exam area was prohibited so the P6 can focus. šŸ˜‚
