2011 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

MummySTay:
I remember 2 years ago when DS had PSLE, he thought he lost about 20 marks for Maths. That year, the paper was very tough! In the end he still got A*. Hopefully, this piece of news will make some parents feel better.
Thats comforting to know. DS said the paper was OK. He found it manageble. He is sure to have lost 6 marks in total. Rest depends on how careful he has been. By nature he not careful, just hoping for the best. :xedfingers:

DS from mainstream neighbourhood school. No one cried. Everyone was OK, not smiling broadly but still OK.
Oh dear, if that is the case for GEP students, then what abt those from normal stream ...just hope this situation will not demoralise the kids...we parents must do our part to encourage our kids and tell them to fight on regardless !Leanne:
Went to ds school just now.The teacher was telling me that some gep kids cannot finish the paper one.
Good thing, its gep already got their dsa .
Cheers,

Can anybody remember the full question about the chicken and tuna pie one??
Yes I can.
Question: At first, there were 185 more chicken pies than tuna pies. 3/5 of the chicken pies and 1/2 of the tuna pies were sold. In the end, 146 pies were left. How many pies were sold? -

Must say my DS' teachers fr sch and enrichment centres have all been very supportive. They bought the kids snacks and stationaries, some even gave popular vouchers. When kid was unwell, they called to enquire. Sent encouragement SMS. Glad the teachers are so considerate.
That very nice indeed. -
