SAplayer:
Basically the paper had easy questions...only reason why it should have been difficult for some is because of time constraints!
Some say paper was lengthy some say they had lots of time to spare for checking. Guess it is due to the method chosen to answer the Qs. Some methods are faster and more elegant! -
Blur Dad:
Wat did he/she do and how he was he / she caught? So sadMwahahaha XD:
Our sch top scorer cheated for paper 1 eh... Will minus 40 or 100 uh? Anyone noe?
What happen?
To my understanding, whole paper will be gone. -
Funx3:
My Gal told Me if No Q No is written, then the Q will be Marked for Q1.Flowermonaster:
Btw KSPs, for the upcoming Chinese/mother tongue compo papers, please remind your kids to remember to put down the number of the compo question selected :xedfingers:
If forget to write the question number selected will result in what huh? Heard that a P6 boy from my DS's school forgot to write the question no in English paper1 yesterday. Worried for him.
If Ans is for Q2, then Will be Marked as OT
This may just be scare tactics to instill more dicipline in kids. -
Oh yea, some tips for the kiasu parents out there! For paper 2,after like maybe left 5 mins, ask your child to type down her/his answers on the calculator, separating them with a minus sign. Rmb not to press the equals button! And keep pressing the arrow buttons to avoid the calculator frm auto offing and turn the calculator so that it faces the table or else the invigilator might see it. after leaving the exam hall, quickly write yr answers frm the calculator onto a piece of paper.

What I meant was that my ds strength is mathematics, so I was happy upon seeing him so confident, so I decided to just share my good news with you people. Please be less sensitive. No criticism pls ._.

First time they are going on an outing on their own.
Where are they going ngbrdad? Movie? :imcool: -
I just finished reading 2010 psle maths and try to compare with this year comments. In my own personnel opinion the 2011 psle had few tricky questions and more time consuming compared to 2010

Maths Isnt Fun:
for the ans:351 the question was abt chairs...someone arranged chairs in rows of 9. he bought 6 chairs and arranged the chairs in rows of 7 and had 12 more rows. how many chairs are in the hall at first? (i think?)
Oops! DD's answer is not 351, but 357. Thanks for your help. -

I think I must add a word of caution on this: actually no paper or information is allowed to be taken out of the exam hall. Doing this might jeopardise the student's position even though no cheating or any foul-play was intended.
DS wanted to do that in order to check his answers with his friends after the paper, but I warned him of the consequences if caught and he agreed it would not be worth the risk. They may decide to go strictly by the book. Remember the kid who took a picture of the front cover of exam paper? He was just being playful but the consequences greatly impacted him. I would say the risk is not worth it, don't attempt this!
