      Hi,

Personally think the FP think not really useful, still need to queue.
Tokyo Disney is a place where seems no matter which month you go, the queue is forever there, but its a big hit place for my 6yo DS.

Will be going there in Dec'09, wanted to stay at the new Disney Hotel, but too ex, booked into Sheraton Grande instead. Hoping to catch the fireworks from the hotel room.
Making full use of FP can save you tons of time. During my recent trip few weeks ago, I never had to spend more than 30 minutes queuing for a ride. No matter what, go there latest by the park opening hours.

December at Disney will be very crowded, even on weekdays. Do plan out how you want to spend your time there. Your DS will love the children roller coasters at both TDS and TDL.

        (Shinagawa Prince) day4(T): Hakone
(Shinagawa Prince) day5(W): Hakone back to Tokyo
        (Shinagawa Prince) day6(T):
(Oakwood Shinjuku) day7(F): Asakusa / Tobu World
(Oakwood Shinjuku) day8(S): Gotemba Premium Outlet
        (Oakwood Shinjuku) day9(S): Disney
        (Sheraton) day10(M): DisneySea
        (Sheraton) day11(T): DisneyLand
Last time we went Hakone, we went to Gotemba the next morning (day 5 in your case) by bus (a short journey), shopped for whole day, then took the bus back to Shinjuku. Otherwise you waste time on the bus (2 ways) on your day 8.

Your should try to stay at Sheraton from day 9 onwards since you are going to Dinsey on that day.

Well... we planned something slower... Hakone day 1 and Hakone day 2....
First day do the round trip from the bottom... end at Gora, then up to our Ryokan at Sengokuhara... next day, do the glass museum... pop back to Gora.. look see... enjoy the foliage... then slowly head back...

Gotemba also want to do slow... after a few years 'doing' Outlets... we've come to realise that its impossible to finish looking at all the shops... always feel that sure miss something.... this time dowan to rush... just take the whole day to finish...

We're also actually doing a 2 day Disney not really a 3 day.... just that on the first day at Sheraton we will just hang out.... no point jumping into into Disney in the middle of the day...

Picked up some travel books from the Library yesterday... i feel we're actually missing out on alot of what Japan is really about...

          *sigh*

hows everyone else with their planning?

          ..

Wow, she will go nuts with all these info!!!

My friend's business trip is from 9 Oct to 14 Oct and her flight is still not confirmed and that makes my flight booking a bit difficult. My daughter's school opens on 16 Oct and so still looking at friend's schedule...

Do you have the name of Nakano Broadway in Japanese?
Okay, I'll dig out my notebooks (I have at least 1 per trip) and most probably, I'll take pics and put up here. It's the fastest way, unless my notes are too messy. It helps that she can read Jap.

            Nakano Broadway = 中野ブロードウェイ

              Hi,

Anyone went Tobu World Square before?
              Worth going?

Contemplating to go Tobu World Square or Gotemba.
To cover either destination within a day, is it enough?

Will it be too tiring for me to cater an old (my mom) and a young (DS) if I’m on my own to these two places.
Personally think DS will like Tobu World better, but my mom would prefer shopping … … decision decision 😞

              Thanks,

If you go and find out how far these two places are from each other and how far they are from Tokyo, then you probably know the answer.

                  hi hi,

I will be going to Tokyo this coming Dec with my family (F&E). 2 adults and 3 kids age 12, 7 and 6.

Would appreciate if you can give me some suggestion on shopping or sight-seeing.

                  1) Day 1 - Shibuya - We should be able to reach the hotel around noon time. Shopping and see see look look (but not the high-end stuff) where can we go?
                  2) Day 2 - Still at Shibuya - still thinking want to book a day trip or not. but dun know where to go. Mt. Fuji should be very cold by then.
                  3) Day 3 - Shibuya - morning - will go around Shibuya before check out and heading to Disney. Reach Disney should be around noon time. Not sure want to buy a 3 days pass or 2 days pass. If 3 day pass will include Day 3, worth or not? If 2 day pass, then what can we do from noon till nite?
                  4) Day 4 - Disneyland - whole day.
                  5) Day 5 - Disneysea - whole day.
                  6) Day 6 - Walk walk abit and get ready to check out.
                  thanks ya:)

Day 1 - Shibuya can go Disney store, Tokyu Hands.

Day 2 - since you only have few days there, better stay in the city to look see. Just read up and see what you want to do or where you want to go. Maybe Ueno, Akasuka, Harajuku?

Day 3 - Do you stay at one of the 3 Disney hotels, or one of the Official Hotels nearby? If yes, you can check-in your luggages at the Welcome Center beside the train station, then you can go other place.
If don't do Disney, can go Odaiba.
If plan to go Disney, even for only at night, cheaper to buy 3 day pass than 2 day pass plus after-6 pass.
Personally I think the kids will like to spend more time at Disney. 3 days pass is not too much, considering December will likely be crowded.

Day 6 - what time is your flight? If is evening time, then you can go Makuhari factory outlet which is only few stations away from Disney. Or else just spend time at Ikspiari.

Sheraton is good. Ask for park facing room if you want to see the park from your room.

As Disneyland is usually more crowded than DisneySea, I suggest you choose DisneySea on the first day, and go early to Disneyland on the second day. Third day you can do park hopping to both parks and do what you have missed or redo your favorites rides again.
