        Hi Mrsbongz,

Even if I sell my goldmine now, I will have problems getting another flat because it will be equally expensive...I've never thought of selling my flat...happily sitting on my gold mine :imcool:

Janet, you're so humble.. Read from other threads that you've good advice on school bags πŸ™‚ Learnt from your posts that SPI bags can be traded-in, which is good.. Can bring the old SPI bag to trade-in with discounts when buying a new SPI bag. That's useful info.

Now my evaluation of bags has narrowed down to Deuter vs SPI Active. Still can't decide which one tho'...
          Hi Joyfulhands, Scary,

I've actually got a SPI bag for my DD few months ago during a 20% sale... πŸ˜‚ Getting ready for use when she starts P1!

Highly recommended by my sister whom bought one for my nephew and still in good condition after 3 years. My nephew is still using it now... :imcool:

            Hi Janet,
Will profit if we move to estates like Jurong, Woodlands, Yishun, etc. However, I am like you, will not sell my place.

the SA2 oral test will start from tomorrow or Wed for P3-P5?

According to the timetable given by teacher, P4 oral is on Wed and Thur this week.

                Hi janet_lee88,

P6 supp will still be on Tues and Thurs. However, during Term 3, there will be additional supplementary classes on most weds for all subjects, including mass lectures for orals and compos, remedial classes for some students etc. Hence, where possible, should keep Wed aft free too. For some classes, some teachers may organise Friday additional classes. Expect a busy Term 3 as there will also be prelims and PSLE orals.

                Wow  so packed ?
I can roughly expect a BUSY year ahead for my son next year...but didn't expect more days of staying back. :nailbite: :nailbite:

May I know whether the supplementary classes in P5 and P6 are mandatory or optional?

I understand that P5 onwards, CL is split in HCL, CL and Foundation levels. What is the mark cut-off point to get into HCL?

The supplementary lessons are sort of mandatory as the subj teachers use these periods to carry on teaching whatever they were teaching in the morning.

As for the CL banding, I did not get a clear cutoff criteria then. It seems not only does the result of CL matter, but also the performance of other subjects.

No way will I sell and move elsewhere. If I didn't buy woodlands or yishun 12 years ago, I won't do that now. Besides, the lift which I've been waiting for is finally ready !!! My neighbours are very nice too.

                      Hi dyh,

From what I understand, students must get at least band 1 for chinese at the end of p4 to be considered for HCL at p5…not only that, the other 3 subjects must be of satisfactory results too.

                      Hi parents of P6s,
Are supplementary lessons at this level for revision or still teaching ? With more days of staying back, I have a headache arranging for math tuition for next year.

Visiting a pumpkin patch and catching some monarch butterflies for tagging these few days. Will try to post up some pics soon. πŸ™‚
You tagged butterflies? You're really walking the road less travelled, IJJ.

If memory serves me correctly, monarch butterflies are gigantic ones rite?

But more than pics of butterflies, I was hoping to see pics of your house, garden, surrounding rivers and mountains. Don't ask me why I think there're mountains. I also don't know. And please don't tell me that there're also lakes, cos that would be too beautiful.

Btw, the summons guy has been arriving at dismissal time at back gate everyday of this week!! Must hav been some v power complaint made to bring abt such 'enthusiasm' πŸ˜› cant even stop at the red lots!! Saw a few parents argue w e guys πŸ˜›
They are also very enthusiatic at the carpark of BT hawker ctr. Got fined twice last mth. So now phobia, even a 5 min absence I also tear coupon. But I find that that's not really fair to me. Why am I paying 50c for 5-10 min of parking?

They should either install electronic gantry - I'm ok with pay as you use - or sell us 15min coupons. See, I don't just complain, I provide solution. :rahrah:

I just couldn't find where in the URA website I can put forth my suggestion.

you can go to the URA website, at the top right-hand corner, select 'Contact URA' and from there, chose the relevant one... hope they give you a +++ answer :xedfingers:
