损害 comes from P5A textbook...I believe it's from the chapter 给小主人的信.

In fact, for \"心灵\"，the best word is \"伤害\"，例如：这件事伤害了她幼小的心灵。“损伤心灵” 的搭配是不恰当的。事实上，上面的这两个词语搭配都不是很恰当。“损伤”，“损害”，和“伤害”这些词都既可以作动词，也可以作名词，例如：强烈的光线会对人的眼睛造成伤害【名词】/强烈的光线会伤害【动词】人的眼睛。但是如果脱离了整句话的语境而单独说“损伤/损害眼睛”都是不恰当的。[/quote]I have been coaching my own kid for 6 years (attending PSLE this year:)), and I indeed have found many cases that even worksheets/exam papers of some top schools have errors like this one. Sometimes parents are very confused by the answer given by the school teacher, and the worst case is - parents have to look for a forced interpretation for the answer given!

Just to share with KSPs here. My kid's Chinese dropped dramatically after he transferred to a so-called top school. Fortunately I coached him myself and successfully \"saved\" him. No intention to offend, but I have to say that our Chinese teachers must improve their teaching quality...

I get this handbook every year...so wondering if I should continue to get for P6 or is there any particular title which includes from maybe P1-6.

FYI, there is a PSLE 词语手册 that list all the 词语 from P4 - P6. You can check that out from Popular. DS is using that now.

That's right, snowcloud. But I think 损伤心灵 also sounds right, that's why I m seeking views in this forum.

hi jesschan ~ i also think 损伤眼睛 is the right answer because the word 损 is used more for long term wear-and-tear kind of damage on physical objects, rather than on an one-instance kind of of hurting somebody's feeling.

Sorry for the late reply.

We have not bought this handbook that you're mentioned as we can just check the ci yu from the besta dictionary and also seems like not much ci zu to learn in P6 if I do not remember wrongly.

In fact for CL, there are total only 10 课 （6A - 6 课，6B - 4课 ）.

No no. It is a 词语手册 small size like the one Janet is referring to 5A and 5B, you get yearly for learning the words in the Chinese textbooks with meaning and making sentences. There is one that states PSLE 词语手册 for MT and another for HMT. I’ll go pop website to see if I can get a pic

It is this type of book, but color in orange and has the word PSLE 字词手册. I can’t find it in Popular website, but you can check out at bookstore itself. Cost is about $10. It is a one book encompassing all the 词汇learned in P4 - P6.
