Haha.. Sori, nt sure if it is authentic but am quite satisfied with the pan after using it to cook veggy and pork meat for the past two nites. First timer cook though; using pan, but my hubby and kids luv the veggy and the pork meat is pretty soft.

Coating wise looks the same as that of BigDevil's pic. Oh...by the way, mine came with a paper covering the pan when I first got it, the pic on the paper looks like that of the fish cooked in the pan as show on the manual.

I received my Happycall yesterday.

Check with all the signs of the authentic of the pan that have been previously discuss , mine seems genuine ( eg with hole on handle, the patent code is of smaller font.....etc)
I tried to fried fish for the first time using the pan last nite. The taste is good but some of the fish skin stick to the pan, DH says that is bcoz I use too little oil (I only use a few drop of oil). Overall no oily kitchen and my fish still look presentable for a first timer.

Did you get the deeper (75mm) pan?

I din use special procedure when using new pan, my mom told me to use vinegar to wash before using but being lazy I just use soap n water to clean.

Same here....we just wash with water and soap, then start using.

:oops: busy eating....didn't take any pic. Will do so next time.

First time DW used it, she fried some frozen 锅贴. Previously when she fried them with normal non-stick pan, she would inevitably break quite several when flipping them individually. With the Happycall, all she needed to do was to flip the pan over, so less broke open, and the juices were locked in and the meat was nice.

Second time, she fried egg tofu with chicken. The egg tofu skin was nicely browned, and the chicken was much tender and juicier than using normal wok. Guess it really did lock in the juices. Yummy!

1) the pan displayed on the first page of the official website http://www.myhappycall.co.kr/ does not have a hole

2) the pan used in Lejel's demo video does not have a hole http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NVNLUF7qYE

3) the pan shown on the manual http://issuu.com/kangtao/docs/happycall does not have a hole

So I believe mine is authentic....just an earlier version. :xedfingers:

The pan did not have hole in the handle either, and the cooking was done by....a Mr Lee Hyeun Sam...CEO of Happycall?!?

Also noticed that he has absolutely no qualms with using metal utensils on the pan.
