My DS called from school 6 times but i was in meeting…hope it’s good news…

However, at the back of mind also thinking if he can really get into GEP, should i let him go? Heard some of the GEP kids cannot cope and also worry will not do well for PSLE. Also, require a lot of parents participation in the projects etc. However, the advantage would be to higher chance of DSA.

The teacher's being a tad too secretive. It's only ICAS. High distinction, distinction, merit, pass. Good for those who did well. Anyway, nobody studies for UNSW right?

my kids don't prepare for it. Sometime my ds totally forget abt it till the actual day 😉
Or the teacher is being kind by saying tt so that those who didn't do well especially those who attempt it for the first time , will not feel stress or unhappy. anyway it is not accountable in school exam marks. 😄

Haha! That happens a lot to my dd too. Forget there's ICAS until the teacher comes in and hands out the exam papers. 😄 To me it's just a test of your knowledge and ability to apply what you've learnt. No need to study. Do well, good. Don't do well, no big deal. :D[/quote]haha..precisely because no big deal, so teacher told them not to compare.
i think also maybe some of those expected to do well students did not do well? not so sure. so my boy also happily stuff the results in his bag until 'salted veg'. 😓

No leh. My dd's time was the same. English and GA1 on one day, then Math and GA2 on another day. And my dd's older than yours.

My DS1 also got through round 1. His class (HA) had about 75% got through. Heard one of the MA class had only 1 who went through. His classmate from P1/P2 (not same class this year) also got thru - unexpected as his English was not too good, tho' his Maths was excellent.

Congrats!! Looks like both our DS' classes hav abt the same no of success rate. It seems that Maths is the determining subj as most kids' Eng level is abt the same.

I have no clue what the GA papers are about too? But being so close to the exam dates, there is really not much preparation that we can do or help our kids .

                      Best of Luck!!

congrats to those who got through!

does the class teacher really announce how many got through? 😓
i only know for ICAS, my kid's teacher just dished out the papers and told them to keep to themselves. 😓
                        Jedamum,
Do we hv ICAS or UNSW at Pr 3 level???
Totally clueless ....or my child is not involved so hv no idea at all.
                        Pls adv ? Thx !
