GEP 2011 - Screening & Selection
-
:congrats: Congratulations to all who have passed the first round!
My dd passed too, but I told her that there's still round two. And there's 4000 students competing for just 500 places! :xedfingers:
At any rate, she's in a school she loves, classmates she's happy with, and dh & I will always love her, whatever happens.
So all the best to all the kids taking GEP round 2. -
I think GEP schools always have a larger no. of students making it through Rounds 1 & 2. My ds from neighbourhood school doesn’t have so many, though it’s still higher than the national average of 22. I believe the numbers will all average out to around 4000 for this round. Anyway they are only selecting 500 for the next round, so that’s just 13% of those who make it through this round. Better manage our children’s expectations.

:congrats: :rahrah: ASLmum, tresille, gleemom and Laura02 and your DD/DSs

Some schools give out earlier while others later. Your school may be one of those which wants to give out the letters as children's day presents   -
