just to mention, blade club also sells fencing equipment, but you have to train there, and the rates, if im not wrong, are cheaper than Z-fencing.

Blade Club is a good club too, but it’s just that they don’t have that number of fencers that Z has to provide varied sparring.

Frankly, I don’t really know how the curriculum is carried out in the other clubs, but for Z Fencing, what I like is that they have a certain set of curriculum they follow, and you know what technical level the child is at by the badge they obtained. It’s clear and progressive.

Furthermore, Z Fencing has been appointed to direct the coaching and curriculum development for the new Fencing Academy of the Singapore Sports School (SSP) in 2012.

I think, like all other sports, to do well in fencing, you need to invest quite a number of hours per week to practise the skills and do physical conditioning. Having many sparring partners also helps to expose the fencer to various styles.

Fencing is not very common in Singapore and I think most of the fencing coaches at the clubs are foreign talents so they will all "import" their own experience to coach the fencers. You can view the results of the recent Singapore Fencing Minime Championships on the Fencing Singapore’s website. They do indicate the clubs to which the fencers belong to.

Hi! I have used foil fencing gear suitable for 7-9 years old to sell off at discounted prices. See the following link:

The fencing equipments are very expensive. My child has lost interest in it. I wonder who wants to buy her used stuff. Fencing mask (xs); master guard (size 5); right hand glove (size 5.5); 1 arm vest (size 32); fencing jacket (size 32); grey vest (size 36; brieves (size 35); fencing blade; fencing bag (from Z fencing, with roller, blue); blade wire.
