Hi,UncleLim:
I am from SCGS. I think that SCGS has a very good education and character building system. I have to say that SCGS has helped me grow closer to the sky. SCGS has helped me flourish and blossom.
Hi Amber Shaw, what do you mean by \"grow closer to the sky\" ? Something to do with Astronomy or the school helped you to grow taller ?
This is SCGS school song:
Glad That I Live Am I (School song)Lyrics by Lizette Woodworth Reese
(from 'A Little Song Of Life')
Glad that I live am I,
That the sky is blue.
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.
After the sun the rain,
After the rain the sun.
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.
All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow,
Nearer the sky.
Hi Angel
Are you from the affiliated school of SCGS? :boogie:

Hi Angel
Are you from the affiliated school of SCGS? :boogie:
Thanks

May I ask you or anyone who is currently the affiliated school student of SCGS a few questions:-
1. When you were in the SCGS secondary, will you able to get along with those students who were not the affiliated students of SCGS? or prefer to stay with the students who were your classmetes since Primary school .
2. You will not get close to non affiliated students but just a hi hi to them.
3. How many good classes in SCGS? Good classes mean all good grade students in the same class
4. Will the school just concentrate the good classes
5. I saw the \"Choosing your secondary school\" booklet for 2010 and noticed that previously the subject for Engliah its was indicated as Language Art but since 2011 has became English Language/ Liternature in English, any idea why?
Meantimes, I also hope someone who is non-affiliated students of SCGS but currently still studying in SCGS gives her comments on the above question too.
:imsorry: I hope I did not offend anyone in my question 1 &2.
:thankyou: looking forward :boogie: to your reply
Hi,
Sorry, I can't answer your questions... -
hi, not sure if anyone asked this before, pls redirect me to relevant posts if so.
I was wondering if your child scores high 250s in PSLE, how would you make a decision between NJC and Dunman High (not taking into consideration location of the school).
Thanks for any feedback ! -
My concern too. Has anyone replied? I attended the open house for DH but missed the earlier one for NJC this year. DH seniors seemed to paint a picture that they are very Chinese oriented and stereotypes kind of students. Before I guess (wild ones) further, it will be good if seniors from these institutions can speak up and comment on their unique characteristics. btw, do you have some info that you want to share as well? :thankyou:

Hi, I didnt attend open house for DH nor NJC, I heard the buiding / premises of NJC is pretty run down and that there is a boarding school program (???). can anyone share any info. ?
FYI NJC is having its 2nd open house this yr on Sat 15 Oct from 9 am to 3 pm. -
It is true that NJCian has to attend at least one term( I guess so!) of community living, i.e hostel lifestyle but I think you get to pick the term in the 4 years. Personally, I am not very concerned about the physical state of the building but the quality of educators and programmes offered.
btw, must we register for the 15oct open hse at NJc?
