Leads trickle in for S'porean missing in Greece

Yahoo! NewsroomBy Jeanette Tan | Yahoo! Newsroom – 1 hour 24 minutes ago

A member of the Greek police told The New Paper on Tuesday that a man resembling Kouk was seen in the capital on Monday.

A female passer-by, who claimed to have spotted him in Central Athens, called the police after seeing a poster of Kouk listed as a missing person.

The police staff said, \"His clothes, height, weight all match. But we don't know for sure if it's him or not.\"

      A glimpse of hope.

No intention to be mean. But I think he could have been robbed and killed. It was reported in TODAY that Greek authorities picked up signal of his mobile from a remote village, some distance away from Greece.
Greece is in a bad state now. I really :xedfingers: for him. Hope he'd just lost his phone..

even before the present financial crisis, Greece is not considered as a safe place

as an example, if you rent a car from a car rental company like Hertz or Avis, say from Swiss or France, you are NOT allowed to drive it into Greece. that shows you how safe they are

            I feel sad…he is afterall someody’s son.

Even if he is not alive, at least the body has to be found or there will never be a closure.

His wife is a teacher in my child’s school…She is such a lovely lady, always smiling, bubbly…it was so shocking to view her on TV in tears & to hear the sad news…all our prayers are there for the family. Hope we can hear some good news soon.

I do wonder if such country-wide search is on, whether whoever got him would silence him, even if he had not been already. Still, I hope for the best outcome…
