Someone recommended YuQuan's Zijing (字经) class. Has anyone tried this? Appreciate all feedback!

yup, i m interested in yuquan classes too. they have chinese idiom literacy course also. anyone able to comment on whether they are able to bring the lesson alive, making it interesting despite the seemingly more advanced material? my concern is it is too \"heavy\" for kids at 3 plus to 4.

      thanks!

My 4yo daughter started with Yuquan when she was 3.5yo. She loves the classes. Definitely not \"too heavy\". She spouts several times more idioms now than I hope to understand myself in a lifetime. Highly recommended by me, though I feel the management could have been a bit more flexible 🙂 .

          Hi All,

Should I put my 2 kids in 1 chinese enrichemnt centre? Eg Molin or Berries? As I would have DD in Preschool & DS in P1 next year. 😢

Berries seem to be popular among in here especially the Preschool stage. How about for P1?Would Berries able to substain thier standard?

i had heard that P1 students with weak chinese foundation may find Berries tough to catch up.

I thought so too cos I was checking out nearby enrichment classes for DD since her Chinese is so weak. Actually, I thought Berries only has classes for Higher Chinese and writing for P1 onwards (excluding the holiday courses)?

So can we say most enrichment centre conducts higher chinese for P1 onwards? Would this be at a disadvantage where if the kid is taking not Higher Chinese at the school they are studying?

                    1. i'm not sure about enrichment in other centres, but i believe 'enrichment' means more advance, no?
                    2. my boy is not taking higher chinese, but if centres teach higher chinese, means the kid learn more, no? shouldn't that be an advantage?

                      Jedamum,

Seem like Berries is conducting Higher Chinese in the P1, P2 class. Just to confirm the one you went is at Woodlands not Bukit Batok?

Are you going to try Busy Bee?
