All About Right Brain Training

Dear Daddies and Mummies,
I am interested to send my DD to Shichida as she is developing fairly fast for a 15-month old. I am getting feedback (both good and bad) to understand how SM works and if it is beneficial to your kids. I read that it will take at least a year for us to see results just like most brain development programmes out in the market and parents' participation is needed. Please send me your feedback if you have sent your kids for this programme and I would like to hear from you.

i sent my girl to SM when she was young and then when it was my boyโs turn, i sent him to My Little Genius at hougang. Honestly, i donโt see my son being less advantaged than my girl. Quite a lot of hype abt SM. plus MLG is friendlier and the pace not so unbreathable.

sunnysky, can u pm me the price of MLG, 1 term fees?
-

As mentioned previously, I'm homeschooling my boy mainly based on The Shichida Method. Every day, we do about 30 minutes to 1+ hour of activities. Then attend 1 hour class a week.Dear Daddies and Mummies,

He started at 15 months cos i knew of the method late and we waited for a term to start. Ideally, start pre-natal and at newborn stage. That's what I'm doing for second baby arriving soon.
For up to 3 years old, it's all about input. 4-6 years old is a mix of input and can see some output from child. After 7 years old, if the foundation is done right, the child should be well-equipped with learning skills to learn independently, efficiently and with a lot of joy.
Parents should NOT expect any output from the child and deliberately test the child to see what he knows cos this will suppress the right brain from opening up. It's about guiding the child with a lot of love.
If you can read Chinese, I suggest reading the 2 books by Shichida mentioned on my blog post:

At Shichida's parents / child sharing sessions, we've seen the older children producing amazing abilities. As for my boy, I find him quite fascinating -- very good language, memory, singing, creativity skills, etc. When he's relaxed enough (tuned to the alpha state of mind), his senses (guessing, telepathy, etc) are near perfect. And he's a very happy boy who loves learning and is sensitive to others' feelings. This is the beauty of early right brain education. And I believe every child can benefit from it, as long as the parent gives the right guidance. -
Hi Parents,
I am thinking of enrolling my 7 years old boy to SM, is there any parent who has kid that are 7 years and above with the programme comment.
Thanks -

Hi, in my opinion, it wont be that effective. the class size is smaller for kids 5 and above in SM.. cos the method is not that effective to this age group as compared to 0 to 3 year-old..Hi Parents,

at this age, i think prastise more on the topics will help him to remember..maybe other parents have useful methods , as my kids are all below 5 now.. -
Is your 5 years old kid still with Shichida, how long have you join the programme, do you think there is any improvement?
