ds came back today and told me abt what one of his teachers shared about marking psle experience. One question was marked 0 marks when it should awarded 2 marks. And that was after two different teachers had marked. This was only found out after random checking. If there is one paper like that, wonder how many papers are marked wrongly? dare not imagine. :scared:
That's a terrible mistake. But human marking means errors sure will occur. Lucky thing you can pay $ :moneyflies: to check the paper if the PSLE result is way below expected grade. But there's a flip side. What if check already realize should be even lower mark?!! :rotflmao: -

usually when marks are miraculously high, nobody would enquire why. Only when marks too low than expected, then we will start asking and checking with moe. But i heard even when u pay them to recheck, they will not let u see the paper. They will just calculate marks again for you. I find not very fair like that. -

that's the thing that impresses me about NUSH. with the small cohort and vast resources, they are really able to let the kids exploit their strength & interests to the fullest. I read a blog by an NUSH girl about how she was the only one left doing Literature as a major in year 6. The school didn't just say \"I'm sorry, you are the only one doing Lit, so we're not having the class\". How many schools in Singapore will accommodate to students to this extent? If you are passionate and are really good in photography, NUSH can even arrange an exhibition just for you.
They have the resources.
Dr Hang showed pictures of art exhibition they arranged for students during the open house talk.
Did you DSA for NUSH ? -
Here's wishing all the kids a Happy Children's Day. :grphug:
