Travel: Malaysia - Sunway lagoon

Plan to go during the year end holiday and need some advice. Is 3D2N sufficient? How’s the weather, will it rains?

3 days 2 nights will be enough. There are package for families for 2 adults and 2 children. You can check out their website. Alternatively, I book through booking.com since I found their cheaper than the hotel website.http://kualalumpur.sunwayhotels.com/offers/funfilledholidays.aspx
As for rain, really cant tell. It did rain when we were there last week. Luckily we just walked the suspension bridge before it start to pour. We had to wait for an hour. Then we found out that they still allow the water park activities to continue, so changed to go for those wet activities instead. Still able to do most of the 3 park activities. December is suppose to be monsoon season in the East Coast of Malaysia but should not affect Sunway Lagoon area which is near KL. But really can't say. Depend on your luck... -

Yes, I'm actually eyeing the family package from the Hotel website.

They are quite fast in their reply. Just email them for any queries. Hopefully they have the rooms you want. They suggested a bigger room which was more expensive but not to our needs. So we book with booking.com which has the same package. Funny thing is that the hotel says they run out of the package but booking.com still has it. Anyway, the price is the same and they honour the booking.com voucher. So we are happy.

Not really. Actually you can take the arrowline, it go straight from Singapore to Sunway lagoon.Hi
Has anyone taken a buget flght to KL and then to Sunway Lagoon ? Not sure whether there're coaches/ buses from the airport to Sunway Lagoon. If taking a cab, is there a kiosk selling taxi coupons at the airport too ?

Has anyone been to this theme park in Ipoh, Perak? Are the rides suitable for 7 year olds?
Also looking for reviews on the hotel within the park. -
Yes my 3 year old son went on most of the rides.

Did you stay at the Lost World Hotel? Or would you recommend a hotel near to the park?

We went there a few years back when DS was 6. We liked the petting zoo and the water theme park. Didn’t try the rides much. Should be ok for 7 year old, I suppose. Would be a good day out. Liked the hot water pool and wave pool.
You do not need to stay at the hotel there, you can easily drive from Ipoh. Its about 20 minutes drive. We stayed at Impiana Ipoh. They had a promotion for Lost World then before they build the theme park hotel. -
