How’s everyone? updates again… toilet traing went well… no diapers day and night now… kekek… successful liao… but occasionally he still pee on his pants when we did not remind him (day)… but the frequency is getting lesser, once in 3 days time or so…
i started to get him to complete the story i read to him. he is able to do that, he can complete two worsd sometimes for the line in a page. and when he picks up the book i read to him always, he will flip the book and as if he is reading it, he got the words in the book correctly, but of course not the whole line, just the main word like the page has chicken he will say "chicken $^&&%^"…
he can do sorting games by colours/shapes… he can complete two pieces puzzles… he is able to imitate us cooking in toy kicthen…
k k… too many liao… guess i have to start to prepare for his terrible two cos he will be 20 m-old in 2 weeks time… hopefully it’ll be easier than his sister… -

Thanks puff… yeas agree that he is doing much better at his age… compare to DD… we started shichida on weekend, he is able to do most of the activities… like recognise animals, alphabets (he knows A & B ) and he sway to songs…but he din like his toys being taken away after each activity(as the teacher will do many activities in a session, fast and each time finihs, will have to return and start the other one)…still need some time to get used to it…

Hi micollh, happy for you on the superfast progress of your DS. Is he using the potty seat for peeing? Was just looking at some bulk purchase of pee trainer which is a small boy urinal for home use. Itching to buy for my DS to try. I already have a potty seat at home but so far hasn't been able to get him to sit on it for more than few seconds.

pantree, im using normal potty (hand me down) those like bum seat or whatever the name… but with a hole instead of just sitting down… he poo in that since young, now can poo in toilet bowl liao… i use those children seat which has smaller hole than our normal toilet seater… he pee standing too, but he likes to use his feet to let his pee touch his leg… so we usually let him sit on toilet bowl to pee… but at times, also shoot out… or side way

Thanks for your reply. Think I’ll get his papa to bring him to gents toilet for more exposure first before I decide whether to buy or not. He likes to observe and copycat, so hopefully papa can train him faster this way! My DD last time was potty trained using training charts with stickers as incentive but she was 2+ then. Don’t think the same method will work on DS.

I nearly bought that but in the end decided to let DH trained DS peeing standing up. After a couple of times, he was ok.
I think to toilet train boys, the fathers need to be involved.
